Revival of Pagan Religion

CNN reports in Zeus makes a comeback in Greece about a new group in Greece that is trying to revive ancient pagan religion. They held a ceremony honoring Zeus at an 1,800-year-old temple in the heart of Athens.

    Greek pagan morality is pretty vague and can be quite licentious.

    “We do not believe in dogmas and decrees, as the other religions do. We believe in freedom of thought,” Stathopoulos said.

    Perhaps it’s why the movement’s official members are “mainly academics, lawyers and other professionals”, people who tend to be associated with more “liberal” indulgence of certain practices.

    Thanks for pointing that out. I can see why a “flexible morality” would be very attractive to many people.
