Hatred is best characterized as a disease, how it spreads, feeds, destroys. This is so much confusion among average people as to the difference between Muslims and extremists. There are extremists of many religions, but biased minds accuse anyone in a hijab or keffiyeh of being a terrorist. I've met far too many people who preach deep knowledge of current world affairs, who couldn't correctly name one country on a map of the Middle East. Perhaps the hatred of America is owed to it's ignorance. I doubt I could change the mind of a brainwashed mujahideen, just as I would not sway the minds of a certain Westboro Baptist church.
