In connection with a sermon that I am presenting on the subject of homosexuality, I have collected some web resources on the topic, which I now share with you.
Issues related to homosexuality
- Homosexuality 101 (NARTH) (discusses various causes of homosexuality)
- Is there a “Gay gene”? (NARTH)
- Homosexuality is not hardwired (Francis Collins) (includes further analysis of the twin studies)
- Responding to Pro-Gay theology by Joe Dallas (you can read a lot of the content of his book on this site!)
Stories of former homosexuals:
- Real Stories (Exodus International)
- Telling Our Stories (Zacchaeus Fellowship)
- Stories from People Can Change
For further study
- The National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) has many well written articles (look in the Main Issues section of the site). Since this site is for researchers and therapists, some of the articles are more in depth, and interact with research studies.
- The Exodus International site Library section has hundreds of articles related to this topic
Those struggling with same-sex attraction can receive help from Exodus International, which is the largest ministry of its kind in the world.
There are also three books which I highly recommend:
- Straight & Narrow?: Compassion & Clarity in the Homosexuality Debate
by Thomas E. Schmidt
- The Gay Gospel?: How Pro-Gay Advocates Misread the Bible
by Joe Dallas
- God’s Grace and the Homosexual Next Door: Reaching the Heart of the Gay Men and Women in Your World
by Alan Chambers
