The Presbyterian Church USA has voted to remove from their constitution a statement that requires clergy to live “in fidelity within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, or chastity in singleness.” The reason for this change, as the headline makes clear, is to clear the way for gay clergy. It is a sad day for Presbyterians who hold a biblical view of marriage.

The Days are Getting Shorter
If you feel like you have less time each day to get things done you may be right. NASA scientists have reported that the earthquake in Chile has shifted the earth axis slightly, making days a little shorter. But you might not notice the difference, because they estimate that each day is now about 1.26 microsecond shorter. A microsecond is a millionth of a second.
